Welcome to the Elections in Puerto Rico Web site. The final results of all general elections held in the Island from 1920 to the present, of the 1967, 1993, and 1998 Status Plebiscites, of the 1951, 1952, 1991, 1994 and 2005 referendums, and of the 1951 special election, as well as other reference materials relative to the Puerto Rican electoral process are available in this space. This site also features lookup facilities for fast access to Islandwide- and municipal-level results of election events held in Puerto Rico since 1932, as well as district-level 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2004 general election results for the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly.

The election statistics available here come from official reports and data files issued by the Commonwealth Elections Commission of Puerto Rico, courtesy of Dr. Fernando Bayrón-Toro - author of Elecciones y Partidos Políticos de Puerto Rico - and the CEC.

The Election Resources on the Internet / Recursos Electorales en la Internet Web site - which I also maintain - contains detailed information about the electoral systems of Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Portugal (in English and Spanish), as well as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The site also includes links to Internet sites around the world which provide complete and detailed national and local election statistics, and other electoral resources.

On Monday, July 30, 2007, the Elections in Puerto Rico Web site celebrated twelve years of on-line dissemination of detailed information about the Island's election processes.
